The heart is where the wisdom is found

Your intuition and inner feelings speak with more conviction and belief in yourself than the judgmental thoughts that surface itself automatically in your mind.

The heart wants what it wants and will continue to send signals to your mind if it is not fulfilled.

Research done by the Heart Math Institute explains and answers with scientific basis to many questions about the heart – how and why the heart affects our creativity, emotional balance and clarity of mind.

Our heart is far beyond just a simple organ pumping and circulating blood around the body.

The heart is, in fact, a highly sophisticated, self-organized information processing centre with its own functional “brain”. The heart is able to communicate and influence the brain via the nervous system, hormonal system and other pathways. The influences of the heart, our little precious organ, can profoundly affect brain function and eventually determine the quality of our lives.

The same group of researchers from Heart Math Institute noted that our emotions can activate and result in physiological changes such as change in hormone and other chemical production in our body as a result of stress.

Achieving optimal health is related to our ability to regulate our emotional responses and perceived experiences. This means choosing how we want to feel is powerful enough to change the way our body processes information in a stressful situation.

There are various ways to incorporate healthier thinking habits in our lives.

One such way is through conscious effort of noticing your thoughts, and changing them. Be it a belief about the lack of abundance, lack of love, lack of support, or lack of optimal health we can always question: is this true?

In a stressful situation, there is two route we can go:

  1. React emotionally

  2. Question the believe and choose a better thought

When we question the beliefs, we can choose to reframe them to empowered beliefs and this allows us to feel better in the same stressful situation. We lose grip on needing to control the outcome, and we feel more at ease, and in flow to make a conscious decision centered on our wellbeing.

Changing statements of “I have to ..” to “I choose to ..” increases your self-confidence in coping with an external situation and choosing to commit to an action rather than feel dread over it being an obligation.

Another way is through interacting with your subconscious mind and communicating directly to the heart. When we use the power of our heart to change our physical responses, we can buffer ourselves from possible harmful effects of stress.

A popular way to communicate with the subconscious mind is through meditative practice. Keeping the mind calm and having your focus on the breath or a single liner (also known as: mantra) allows for thoughts and images to surface themselves while you hold an objective, distant and non-judgmental view of these thoughts and emotions.

A second way to exchange information with the subconscious mind and the heart is through hypnotherapy. The advantage of hypnotherapy is the use of the heart brain as a key component of emotional healing.

Through hypnotherapy, a person is able to strengthen the communication between the heart and the brain, allowing for two-way dialogue so the heart is able to influence the function of the brain.

When there is a healthy communication between two of our “minds”, we are able to experience healthier shifts in thoughts and feelings. We can change the way we want to feel and fundamentally change our default thinking patterns.

What does your heart call out to? A happier life? Having a more fulfilled connection with your community and within yourself? How is the mind contradicting the heart’s desires?

You can use the above methods or use the secret passageway of hypnosis to access and change the dialogue in your mind through your heart “brain”.
