How to Bring your Dreams to Reality

“Manifest” has been the trendy word for quite some time now. If you’re into “Law of Attraction”, chances are you have been writing out your ideal reality only to find yourself doubting the whole process because they’ve yet to happen. In this blog I’m going to give details on the KEY steps you need to take to manifest your dreams into reality. 

Before we address the topic, non-believers might ask: is manifestation legit? Is it not some kind of woo-woo trend that I see on social media where you just repeat affirmations, think of your ideal reality and poof it happens in real? How do we know if we really have control over our reality? Is that even possible?

According to quantum physics, an atom is 99.99999 percent energy and 0.00001 percent physical substance. And since our body is made up of organs which are made up of cells, essentially we are a mass of atoms. Referring back to the first statement of this paragraph, it would mean that even though we have a physical body, a larger part of us is ungraspable pure energy. 

While we may have understood in fundamental science that part of an atom known as electrons has a fixed position, it actually doesn’t. Electrons move about around the nucleus of atoms. This means that we can expect it to be at infinite possible locations. 

This is a significant discovery because the majority of us limit our thoughts and beliefs to what we can see, feel, understand on the physical level when we have so much untapped potential. 

In “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself”, Dr Joe Dispenza shared: Energy is the very fabric of all things material, and is responsive to the mind. This tells us that every thought we think actually shapes our reality. 

For instance, thinking about: 

  • Loneliness causes one to spot the evidence that s/he has no friends and inhibits her/him from wanting to engage with another in a conversation 

  • Your favourite food actually causes you to feel peckish 

  • A roller coaster ride would either cause one to feel nauseous/ thrilled

  • The upcoming concert can get one to feel a rush of excitement

Because we are creatures of habit, we may oftentimes get in our own way of manifesting the reality we want. 

For instance, having the desire to change your relationship status from “single” to “in a relationship” may be obstructed by the belief system “I’m not good enough”, “all the great ones have been taken already” or “is this even available to me”. If you were to harbour such thoughts, it does not matter how many times you write out your ideal dating experience, or visualise yourself receiving roses or texts on a weekend evening - chances of you being attached and staying in love isn’t high. 


The solution is to change the way you perceive yourself. To truly believe in and be an embodiment of a different version of yourself - confident, lovable, and good enough. This is the true version of who you are (OUTSIDE of other’s perspectives of you). 

Yet as most of us age, we get so accustomed to the identity we have been in or the labels others have placed on us that we become a person we ourselves don’t quite understand/ identify with - either we want:

  1. to be liked but feel awkward desiring the attention or 

  2. to freely express ourselves but struggle with the fear of rejection or pissing others off with the wrong words. 

STEP 1

To begin manifesting your ideal reality, you’ll have to first remove the labels you dislike about yourself. Labels that once served you as a child may no longer hold value now as you’re an adult. The “good”, “obedient” label may now actually hinder you from being “achievement oriented”, or “striving”. 

STEP 2

Next, think about the kind of person you’ll love to become. What adjectives would describe this version of you? What habits would you have to incorporate into your life, what thoughts do you have to think to yourself to feel strong, undefeatable and empowered? (*given that you’ve lived in a previous personality for years, it will take some time to change to your ideal personality. Repeating these words, thoughts and images to yourself is key.)

STEP 3

Now as you fully step into this new identity, what new experiences would you love to have? Perhaps you’re experiencing more of those situations now as you step into this new identity. This is the time to visualise the kind of life you want to live because resistant thoughts telling you “I can’t get/ do/ be this” would be weaker as you become a different, more empowered person.
