A Lesson from an Unexpected Teacher
Hey beautiful souls,
This morning, I found myself pausing in my kitchen, watching something that many might consider a nuisance – an ant making its determined journey across my water filter machine. But in that moment, I witnessed something profound that I felt compelled to share with you.
In our modern world of concrete and glass, this tiny creature had ventured far from its natural habitat, guided solely by its instincts. Despite countless generations of its own kind facing resistance in human spaces, it continued forward, unwavering in its pursuit of sustenance. And it struck me – how different we humans often are in our approach to life.
We so frequently silence our inner calling, don't we? Whether it's a dream job that feels too far from our comfort zone, a creative pursuit we've kept buried, or simply the urge to speak our truth – we often choose the safety of the familiar over the uncertainty of growth. While this tiny ant, guided by nothing but trust in its natural wisdom, ventures boldly into unknown territory.
Nature, in her infinite wisdom, continues to teach us if we're willing to observe and listen. These small creatures don't overthink their purpose or second-guess their instincts. They don't let past setbacks deter them from following their inner guidance. They simply... persist.
A Gentle Invitation for Reflection:
Take a moment to consider – what calling have you been hearing lately? What desire for growth or change have you been trying to ignore/ suppress to favor the comfort of familiarity? Perhaps there's something your heart has been whispering to you about, but your mind has been quick to dismiss or silence?
Just as that ant didn't question its right to explore beyond its familiar environment, you too have permission to venture beyond your comfort zone. Your instincts, like nature's guidance system, often know what you need for growth, even when your logical mind resists.
Cheering you on,
Carina
P.S. If you feel comfortable sharing, I'd love to hear about one small step you might take this week toward something your heart has been calling you to explore. Sometimes, simply naming our desires can be the first step toward honoring them.
