I know many of us are juggling our regular jobs and chasing our passion projects on the side. It's exciting, isn’t it? The rush of creativity, the promise of financial freedom, the joy of building something from scratch. BUT, let’s be real, it can also be overwhelming. 😫

Especially when it comes to side hustles, physical exhaustion can be a silent saboteur. The long hours hunched over a desk, endless typing, and those late-night brainstorming sessions might fuel your passion, but they also chip away at your vitality 🙃. The strain on your eyes, the tension creeping into your neck – it's like a battle fought silently, but fiercely, under the surface.
Beyond physical exhaustion, there's an emotional rollercoaster. The self-doubt, the relentless pressure to excel, and the fear of missing out on life's precious moments 💔 — it's all part of the journey. We hustle hard, but we also miss out on family gatherings, spontaneous adventures, and stolen moments with loved ones. It's a constant struggle, a balance we're all trying to strike.
And then, there are these negative internal dialogues (thought patterns), like a broken record, playing over and over in our minds🤯. Overcommitting, putting others first, and self-doubting become traps leading to burnout.
Yet, amidst all this, what we're really seeking is profound, isn’t it? Financial stability matters, sure, but it's more than just numbers in our bank accounts. It's the freedom to cherish life's simplicity 🥂– a spontaneous getaway, quality time with loved ones, or indulge in hobbies that light up our souls. It’s about celebrating milestones without the shadow of exhaustion, where every achievement brings not just pride but genuine smiles. We aspire for a side hustle journey that nurtures our well-being, fostering positivity, and allowing creativity to flourish.
How to run your side hustle without running on empty?
1. Time management 📅- know your important goals, keep them to 3 top goals and make sure you advance those goals every single day even if it means a simple small step as sending an email or creating a post / content to be shared

2. Know your why 🤔- not everyone understands your path and that is ok. Some might tell you to quit your full time job and focus fully on building your business. Some will tell you it's too difficult, why not just give it up. Others will tell you they support your dreams but say otherwise behind your back. At the end of the day you have to know your reasons for starting a side hustle. Your deep why will be the anchor and the reason you come back to time and again on the days you want to give up.

3. Be kind and accepting of your journey 🧘♀️- You're not superman, and like everyone else you have 24 hours in a day. While others will teach you strategies to stretch yourself and make full use of all available hours. My reminder to you is enjoy the journey, learn the lessons that have to be learnt in a time period and apply those knowledge in the next life phase. One of my favourite Astrologer, Colin Bedell, uses the phrase: “let august be august”. This means honor the life phase you're in and be at ease with the speed of progression you're in. Honor your physical health while in the pursuit of a side hustle with great passion. If you neglect your health, your business/ relationship/ work life will not be good either.
